Calcite (ex John Arnaud Collection)

From the collection of Colorado collector, John Arnaud here we have a rather aesthetic and fine quality Calcite from the famous locality at Jalgaon. A 2.5 cm, sharp, gemmy/translucent, soft golden color rhombic crystal of Calcite is aesthetically perched atop a matrix consisting of peach colored Stilbite with green Celadonite. No damage that I can see. I realize that material from the Deccan Trappe is very common on the market today, but you can't deny the quality of some of the best specimens. They are truly some of the finest crystallized examples of their resepctive species extant. This may be only a Calcite, but it's a showy and good quality Calcite regardless of the locality.
