Calcite (ex John Arnaud Collection)

Item Description

A VERY fine quality, 2.0 cm, colorless, GEM quality, striated modified scalenohedron of Calcite along with a smaller side car crystal of a more simplistic scalenohedral habit sit aesthetically on host rock matrix. The main crystal is in very good condition, nearly perfect with only a tiny bit of roughness. Obviously this was from a small, isolated find, and is better quality than nearly any Calcite I've seen from Peru. This piece comes from the collection of John Arnaud, formerly of Westcliffe, Colorado and is accompanied by a label from IC Minerals. Valued at $500.
