Florida obviously is not known for its mineral specimens, but it does produce some attractive Calcites every now and then. This piece comes to us from the Cynthia Payne collection, and is a fine quality Florida Calcite as it features dozens of sharp, velvety, GEM quality, sharp, well-formed, pale yellow colored scalenohedra in a "burst" like growth. Virtually no damage, and really eye-catching. A great piece for any Calcite collector, or a collector or U.S. minerals.
