Item Description
A rarely seen specimen from the Taff's Well Quarry in Cardiff, Wales, UK. There a several different styles of Calcite found at this locality, and this piece features attractive "dogtooth"-style scalenohedral crystals which have a secondary overgrowth of oriented rhombohedral faces on the exterior. The color ranges with varying shades of yellow/orange, depending upon the thickness and positioning of the crystals. No major damage and very showy all around. Hard to find on the market.
