Item Description
This piece is many years old, and is NOT a contemporary piece. This is a hard to find Calcite specimen for Colorado. The piece features a beautiful, gemmy, sharp, translucent pale golden scalenohedral Calcite crystal measuring 1.0 cm on Calcite crystal matrix. I can't seem to find any Azurite or Malachite on the piece. For a Colorado specimen, this is a good piece from the Western Slope. I haven't seen many specimens from this mine over the years, and I don't think there will be many of them available in the future. If you're a Colorado collector, or a collector of Calcite in general, this is a good opportunity to add a hard to find piece from this lesser known locality in western Colorado. Ex Brian Kosnar Collection.
