This is one of the great classic US localities, and has produced what are arguably the finest Calcite specimens in the world from the standpoint of size, quality, color, gemminess and overall form. This amazing zinc-producing region (despite several efforts to reopen it) is not operational at the moment and may never again produce these amazing Calcite specimens. This piece features an attractive, light golden color, translucent, lustrous, well formed, scalenohedral crystal of Calcite.
