Remarkable and rare style calcite "triangle shaped" crystal from the well-known Mine No. 884 of China, famed for sharp, world-class V-twinned calcite crystals. The stunning, sharp, triangular, flattened, 3.7 x 3.3 cm, nailhead rhombohedron is gemmy and lustrous. The included hematite adds character. The crystal is beautifully set on the partially sawed, blocky matrix richly covered with both lustrous, oxide-tinted and untinted calcite rhombohedrons. The striking crystal has a contact above the lower right corner, where another crystal once lay, but with no damage, per se. The symmetry on the crystal is extraordinary. Very RARE on the market in this style and quality - a totally unique find!
