A gem, doubly-terminated crystal of calcite with intentional emphasis on the quality of this fine small cabinet sized specimen from the famous Elmwood mine. The piece is perfect -- a "jewel calcite," as we used to call them back in the day. See the video! There are many smaller specimens from this mine, more famous for its larger pieces of course, but this is a level of quality rarely seen today and dates from its heyday (#4269 in Rock's collection of over 40,000 pieces, so probably from the 1980s).
