Calcite (doubly-terminated crystals) on Dolomite

The famous Stari Trg Mine is the central mine at Trepca and has produced some amazing display specimens over the years. This locality is well-known for its beautiful sulfides and even has produced some impressive pieces of various carbonates like Calcite. This is a great displays specimen featuring a few very sharp, lustrous, well-formed, gemmy / translucent, soft-white colored "feather"-like scalenohedral crystal groups of Calcite measuring up to 3.5 cm long, beautifully sitting atop pearly cream colored Dolomite matrix. A couple of the Calcite groups are doubly-terminated, the largest measuring 3.5 cm long. The piece is in great shape overall, and the quality and form of the Calcites is fantastic. Really eye-catching in person. No major damage that I can find on the display side, just a few tiny imperfections on the tips of a couple Calcite crystals. The piece is priced in the inventory at $1,450.
