Item Description

Four, lustrous, translucent, amber calcite scalenohedrons are very aesthetically set on the limestone matrix on this showy two-sided piece. The large calcite is 4.5 x 4.0. Essentially pristine. You can barely tell, that two of the smaller crystals have very gently cleaved tips. This is a fine matrix example from this locality from the Ray Denicourt and Cynthia Payne Collections. Classic and desirable Gallatin County calcite
