Item Description
Super-glassy, gem-like, colorless, calcite crystals cover the matrix plate on this OUTSTANDING, pristine specimen from the Cypress Mine at Bagdad, Arizona. At least three calcite crystal forms are present on this excellent specimen: most are simple scalenohedrons; the largest crystals are doubly terminated, twinned, scalenohedrons at 3.6 and 1.8 cm; and there are even a couple of distinctive axehead twins! The quality of these calcites rival the best English calcites. VERY UNCOMMON in this quality. Ex Consie Prince Collection.
