What a wonderful contrast of colors! The intense pink hue of the Calcite crystals against the rich green Malachite is about as colorful and eye-catching as you can get for just two mineral species on the same specimen. This small cabinet piece features a layer of gemmy, sharp, lustrous, strong fuchsia pink colored cobalt-bearing Calcite which is partially coated by velvety forest green colored Malachite on matrix. A wonderful association specimen of this classic material. Valued at $750. This piece was mined in the late 1970s, and comes from the collection of Brian Kosnar
