Here we have a beautiful small cabinet specimen of this desirable material featuring eye-catching sharp, very well-formed, intense fuchsia-pink colored crystals of the very desirable cobaltoan variety of Calcite from the famous Aghbar Mine in Morocco. This locality has produced some of the most iconic and mesmerizing examples of this colorful Calcite variety ever found. The color is about as vibrant and saturated as it gets for the material. The central crystals are all in very good condition, though the outer periphery is contacted where the piece was removed from the pocket wall. I love the almost silky vitreous luster and the supreme "juicy" internal gemminess of the Calcites. The largest crystal measures a full 1.0 cm across. The crystals are gorgeous to view up close, as they exhibit superb trigonal terminations. A great overall specimen of this classic material. Valued at $750
