Item Description

A classic and sculptural calcite crystal 'V' from the famous Sweetwater Mine. The glassy, gem straw-yellow scalenohedrons have striking stepped-growth faces and nifty edge phantoms. The matrix is mixed sulfides. A beautiful and pristine calcite from the from the Dr. Gary Hansen collection (he specialized in midwest minerals in their heyday). The piece dates from the 1970s to early 80s. MUCH BETTER IN PERSON!
