Item Description

From the well-known Ton Mawr Quarry near Cardiff in Wales, here we have an attractive and good quality display specimen of Calcite featuring sharp, lustrous, translucent, well-formed, stacked groups of rhombic Calcite which have grown into pseudo-scalenohedral groups. Associated reddish-brown Hematite makes for a brilliant contrast. No real damage that I can see. The largest crystal group measures 2.2 cm across. Beautiful material from Wales, and hard to find on the market now.
