Item Description

A striking and highly unusual calcite specimen from this historic German locale. Pearlescent, colorless, curved, flattened, calcite rhombs have beautiful, bluish-gray highlights. The dense intergrown crystals look like flower petals or have a saddle shape, like some dolomite rhombs. They are very aesthetically set on the mounded matrix with the large corsage on the crest. Choice and rare, probably older material from the Schlichter Collection.
