Item Description

A very fine cluster of dogtooth calcite crystals on matrix from this famous Ohio locale. These translucent and lustrous scalenohedrons have classic, golden-amber color and stepped-growth faces. The large doubly terminated crystal is 8.5 cm. In very fine shape, overall, with only a couple of gently bruised tips and one spot of side wear. New specimens from this locale are no longer available. Ex Schlichter Collection.
