Item Description
Calcite specimens from the well-known, but extinct Treves Mine (closed in 1975) in Gard are a desirable French classic. This very fine and showy plate of glassy, lustrous, light amber to colorless, complex rhombs is highlighted by 2.4 cm, strikingly garnet-looking, faceted calcite rhomb. Complete all-around, with only minimal periphery wear. Older material from the Larry Krause dealer stock.
