Sparkly, intensely stepped-growth, calcite scalenohedrons in intergrown radial aggregates form a very showy and excellent spcecimen from this ancient mining district with over 1000 years of mining history. Calcite specimens from this locale are uncommon, in general. This is really a riveting example in person with the scintiallating luster and pronounced stepped-growth of the crystals.
