Item Description
Lustrous, translucent, curved flattened calcite rhombs look like beautifully arranged flower petals on this very showy and aesthetic classic from this historic old Cornwall mine. Ex Kay Robertson Collection # 635 and acquired from Scott Williams 1950s. Formerly in the Bristish Musuem with a 1956 date on the label. Kay is a prominent California collector, who specialized in European classics (see the article in the March-April, 2007 Mineralogical Record and the 50+ page article in the German Magazine "Mineralien Welt" November-December 2017). Rich pink fluorescence and has multiple fine display views. A very fine calcite from the Levant Mine.
