Item Description
Calcite specimens from the well-known, but extinct Treves Mine (closed in 1975) in Gard are a French classic. This fine and rich specimen of glassy, lustrous, light amber to colorless, complex rhombs is highlighted by the 2.4 cm, strikingly garnet-looking, faceted calcite rhomb at the top. Barely visible bruising to the large rhomb is not a detraction. Older material.
