Item Description

A wonderful old classic Calcite specimen from Příbram that comes with a fantastic label from Josef Vajdák / Pequa Rare Minerals, which immediately increases the value. Joe's label states, "19TH CENTURY MUSEUM SPECIMEN". An old label from the Museum Regni Bohemiae (National Museum {Prague}) also accompany the piece with the year 1886 written on it, presumably when the piece was found. This specimen hosts several sharp, well-formed, lustrous, translucent white/colorless trigonal crystals of Calcite measuring up to 1.2 cm on matrix. Most of the crystals are undamaged, but minor roughness can be seen, so the piece is not completely pristine, but the fact that the piece is nearly 150 years old is what really matters.
