Glassy, transparent to translucent, light yellow nailhead spar calcite crystals are beautifully set on the sculptural large matrix on this dramatic specimen from this famous Sweetwater Mine. Several calcites are doubly terminated, including the largest at the top, at 3.8 cm. Sparkly golden chalcopyrite crystals richly cover the vuggy matrix of lustrous gray dolomite rhombs. Nearly pristine, a couple of calcites have just of bit of termination edge rubbing, which is certainly only a very modest detraction. This impressive and classic combination piece looks great from either side and displays fantastically without aid. Choice large material from the Bob Trimingham Collection.
