Item Description

Highly lustrous, glassy and translucent, pretty light amber, dogtooth calcite scalenohedrons totally cover the sculptural elongated clay matrix on this striking and very fine specimen from an uncommon Florida locale. The dramatic and dominating large calcite is 3.4 cm The crystals are lightly frosted. Very nearly pristine, with only two gently bruised terminations (including the large crystal) for all of the density. Rare in this quality and rarely available. Ex Howard Belsky Collection.
