Item Description

Beautiful highly compressed crystals of gentle white "Angel Wing" habit Calcite on this attractive small cabinet display specimen from Schneeberg. The largest Calcite measures 2.2 cm, and even though there are some broken crystals, it's still in fairly good shape overall. Good quality and aesthetics for this old time materail. Valued at $650 retail. Ex Kay Robertson Collection (#8150). Kay is a prominent California collector, who specialized in European classics (see the article in the March-April, 2007 Mineralogical Record and the 50+ page article in the German Magazine "Mineralien Welt" November-December 2017).
