Item Description

An old-time, showy, CABINET combination plate from the historic iron mines of Frizington, England. Iridescent, super-sparkly, brassy, siderite micro-rhombs and clusters and discrete botryoids of contrasting calcite cover the matrix plate coated lustrous, dolomite rhombs. The back is fully coated with lustrous, brown, iron oxide-coated, dolomite rhombs. An old-time cloth label is glued to the back of the piece, with probably dates to prior to World War I.
