Calcite and Quartz ex Obodda

Item Description

Well-crystallized calcite is quite rare from Pakistan. This very showy and excellent combination plate features an aesthetic cluster of sharp, flattened, limonite-coated, upright calcite rhombs, to 3.1 cm, dramatically highlighted by water-clear quartz points. The stunning large quartz is 3.5 cm. Complete all-around. Two of the rhombs are lightly cleaved and the large rhomb has only modest edge wear, none of which, effect the overall fine presentation of the specimen. The piece displays well from either side and is from an uncommon locale - Tole in Waziristan. Ex Herb Obodda dealer stock.
