Calcite and Pyrite on Fluorite

Item Description

Sparkly, brassy, pyrite crystals are richly peppered on a glassy, water-clear, fluorite cuboctahedron and strikingly accented with a halo of shrub-like clusters of lustrous and translucent, snow-white, tiny calcite scalenohedrons. One lower face of the fluorite is cleaved, but has virtually no impact on the quality of the piece. Classic, very showy and older combination material from the famous mines at Naica.
