Calcite scalenohedrons of this exceptional size on harmotome are very rare from this famous old Scottish mining district. Glassy, frosted, stepped-growth, single and doubly terminated (5.7 cm - largest) scalenohedrons are aesthetically set on the two-sided plate covered with glassy harmotome crystals.
