Item Description

Translucent, lustrous, light yellow, calcite scalenohedrons are dramatically clustered atop limestone matrix covered with pearlescent dolomite rhombs on this exceptional and aesthetic combination specimen from Lockport. The largest calcite is 2.3 cm and this fine piece displays artistically from either side. The archway is striking. Nearly pristine, with just a couple of broken tips on the periphery. The base has been sawed to enhance the outstanding display quality. Ex Schlichter Collection.
