Item Description
An elegant intergrown cluster of stunningly water-clear colorless complex calcite scalenohedrons with beveled faces and striking silky luster. They are unlike calcites from anywhere else and came out in the early to mid-2000s, with none since. Moderate ghostly white fluorescence. These specimens were first marketed as being from Rodeo, Durango, a nearby town. These are considered worldwide calcite classics today with gorgeous form. Ex Hugh Hammerslag Collection of Sun City West, Arizona and the Taylor Hunt Collection. Valued at $500. Seldom on the market today. Better in person.
