Item Description
A classic of the East Coast USA localities, this is a rare matrix calcite twin from the York quarry. The twin is heavily striated and interesting in shape, and measures 4 x 3.5 cm. It is very hard to get these out on matrix, and I have not seen many in a long time. This is from the famous Midwest collection of George Feist, which also featured a large suite from York, where he had collected. It is a good size, and the calcite presents really nicely - and unusually compared to those from other locations
