Item Description

Dalnegorsk is one of the most well-known specimen producing localities in the world. The area has managed to produce amazing quality sulfides and Calcites that do not receive the appreciation they deserve. The piece is composed of sharp, gemmy, colorless, tabular trigonal / scalenohedral crystals of Calcite with very minor matrix on the reverse side. The crystals have almost a satiny luster and are nearly WATER CLEAR in certain portions. The largest crystal measures 2.9 cm across. Nearly all of the crystals are in excellent shape, one lesser crystal on the back is contacted, but the piece displays in a way that you almost don't see it.
