Item Description
This is an unusual specimen for the historic old English calcite locality ,with disc-like, flattened crystals arranged in stacks around a core underneath; a hollow pyrite-lined cavity. Old piece, though from which mine in the Cumberland iron district we cannot now say. An unusual calcite style, from a famous place - the birthplace of the Industrial Revolution, in fact.
