Item Description

Attractive and arborescent, this Calcite cluster is from the famous Santa Eulalia District in Mexico. The sharp, elongated scalenohedrons of Calcite range in length from 1 mm all the way up to several cm, and the color ranges from white to beige. The longer crystals have terminations that approach gemmy, and the overall aesthetic is appealing and interesting. In good condition, this was #278 (acquired in 1956) in Kay's collection.
