Item Description

A few beautiful, golden amber color compressed scalenohedra of Calcite are aesthetically intergrown from the 2009 Chinese find. The crystals are lustrous, sharp and have good internal gemminess. The piece is not perfect as a few of the crystals are sligthly rough, but the piece is in great shape overall. The piece has a very thin layer of attached matrix on the base, but it's mostly Calcite. A good and highly representative specimen of this find, where the locality in Hubei Province was not divulged for some time. The largest crystal measures 4.1 cm across.
