Calcite

Item Description

A nice Alpine Calcite specimen that simply came to me labeled as coming from Graubunden, Switzerland. The piece is a single rhomb with sharp faces, good interior translucency, and an almost "waxy" exterior luster. A small amount of attached matrix can be seen at the base. It's good quality overall with only minimal damage and considering the size, it's a worthwhile specimen for any Alpine collector or a worldwide Calcite collector.
