Item Description

The closed open pit Au-Ag-Cu Red Dome Mine is known for superb Cuprite specimens, but has also produced a few small pockets of very fine Calcites. The modified, GEM quality, twinned Calcite rhombs in this aesthetic cluster are very glassy, and notably transparent. The crystals reach up to 2.7 cm. They resemble Herkimer Quartz in clarity and similarity in their form. These came out over 10 years ago, with none since.
