Item Description

There are only a few species found at Irai, but the Calcites are some of the most attractive and displayable Calcites in the world. This group of sharp, semi-lustrous, soft yellowish color scalenohedra with excellent form and crystallization. The green color is caused by inclusions of what is assumed to be Celadonite. The piece is in good shape, only superficial damage, and displays well from several angles. Good quality and really showy. The largest Calcite measures 6.1 cm long.
