Item Description

A silvery "butterfly"-twinned specimen of Calcite from Chenzhou Prefecture, Hunan Province, China. The predominant, rather sharp, lustrous, gemmy Calcite twin sits on minor matrix and displays beautifully. There are a few superficial nicks here and there, but I've literally seen thousands of these pieces and this is a GOOD one for the size. Better appreciated in person, but a worthwhile and showy, three-dimensional Calcite from the country that has given collectors a boat load of really fine Calcite specimens over the last 15 years.
