Item Description

India is known for its amazing Zeolites and associated minerals, but it also has produced some very fine Calcites. This piece is a notably gemmy and rich golden colored rhombic group of sharp, lustrous Calcite crystals free of matrix. Only very minor nicks, but it's the internal gemminess and beautifully striated crystal faces that give it a sculptural and "other worldly" form. Good quality overall, regardless of locality.
