Calcite

Item Description

A beautiful group of vitreous golden rhombic crystals of Calcite from the famous fluorspar district of Hardin County, Illinois. This piece is most likely from the Denton Mine, but the label only states Hardin County, and I'm erring on the side of caution. The crystals have a beautiful curved modification on the corners with excellent internal gemminess along with HIGH luster! The largest crystal meaures 2.1 cm and overall, the piece is in excellent condition with only minor contacts here and there. Hard to photograph, and BETTER in person in my mind.
