Item Description
At the last family reunion, all the aunts and uncles marveled, as they always do, how much this Calcite looked like its cousin, Tarnowitzite, especially with both being a white as the driven snow. But secretly, these 1.3 cm Calcites knew just how cool they really are. Not only are they zoned (ice mixed in with that snow), but they fluoresce a rich orange! A fine representative of the carbonate family, and the famous N'chwaning II mine, as well. (text written by Jeff Starr - can you tell he really liked this one? it is just a really neat calcite!)
