Item Description
When it comes to Calcites from Colorado, the Idarado stands as the king. Most people are familiar with the beautiful pink (Mn-bearing) scalenohedral (sometimes referred to as "dogtooth" habit) crystals that formed in large plates and display pieces. This piece does not disappoint with several sharp, well-formed, pale pink Mn-bearing crystals that measure up to 2.0 cm. Most of the crystals are damage free, save a few near the periphery. Associated Quartz and sulfides makes for a good overall display piece. If you collect Colorado minerals, or Calcites from Colorado (or the United States), don't miss out on this unusual and attractive specimen.
