Item Description

These are some of the most unusual and showy calcites to have come out of China in the last few years. A dramatic, complex specimen composed of stacked, iron-stained rhombohedral calcites with a pleasing reddish hue (pagoda style), aesthetically perched atop an earlier generation of a hematite-coated, matte-textured calcite of a different habit entirely (scalenohedral). Complete all-around, with only very modest periphery wear, mostly on the back. Excellent material from this find.
