Item Description
A stately 360-degree cluster of large calcite crystals with quartz-like form from a limited 2020 find at this obscure locale in Malaysia. The imposing large crystal is 8.8 cm long. The four larger crystals are strikingly studded with smaller calcite crystals. The glassy crystals are transparent to translucent with bright satin luster faces. Preferential light iron oxide tinting is a very pleasing accent to the colorless crystals. Ghostly white fluorescence. RARE and excellent calcite from the locale. This came in a single flat of material we got, apparently brought out by a geologist into the European market in early 2021. Fascinating locality, beautiful shape, and extra bonus as a fluorescent!
