Calcite (2 pieces)

Item Description

While not the most beautiful specimens of calcite on planet earth, these ARE from a truly surprising and unique California locality, literally picked out of an open weathered pocket exposed on the cliff adjacent to the famous Leadbetter Beach in Santa Barbara! The larger specimen has crystals to nearly 1 cm on matrix (with some rubs and damage), while the smaller specimen has a larger crystal to 1 cm on edges, and is in better condition as well (it is a fine miniature). Small piece is 5.2 x 4.4 x 3.2 cm and these come as a set. These were collected in the summer of 2022 by Jingnan Zhang, probably not in the safest of conditions. Unique California calcites!
