Striking stacked pagoda-like clusters of translucent, two-toned, gray and tan oxide-tinted, nailhead calcite rhombs totally cover the mounded matrix on this showy piece from this well-known quarry. Looking closely at the stacks, you can see small brown phantom scalenohedrons inside of most of them! This is a classic style from this locale and this is a fine example. Ex Bob Trimingham Collection.
