Item Description
A very rare and striking large 2-generation calcite specimen from a most obscure Peru locality and the Art Soregaroli Collection. The nubby first generation of densely packed, lustrous and translucent dogtooth calcite crystals in mammillary form is crowned by a dramatic dense rib of florets of straw-yellow dogtooth calcite rhombs. This amazingly sculptural and RARE large calcite looks great from either side. Nearly pristine, with only a trivial bit of bruising to two florets, which is certainly only a modest detraction to this most impressive piece. Bright yellow-white fluorescence. A MUST for the Peru or calcite collector!
