Item Description

Two generations of calcite crystals cover this very showy and excellent elongated knob from this less well-known German locale. Striking and beautiful, butterfly-twinned calcite crystals are aesthetically clustered on the earlier generation of lustrous, tan scalenohedrons. The nifty twins, to 2.3 cm, are lustrous and translucent. They remind me of the super twins from Chinese Mine No. 884, that came out around 2000. The twins are very nearly pristine, with only one crystal having trivial edge wear. Rare and very choice material from the Bob Trimingham Collection and acquired in 1986. Ghostly white fluorescence.
